2006 News

May 4th - ACS-PCUG Board of Directors election.

In our own parody of ABC's "Wife Swap", the ACS-PCUG Board is pleased to present "Officer Swap"! Mark and Jim have done the unthinkable and swapped roles for this year! What this simply means is that Mark Gervickas is now the President and Jim Gribbin is the Vice President.

We also got Howard Bonar (with a litle arm twisting) to be re-elected as Secretary along with Lyle Austin to be re-elected as Treasurer.

January 26th - The webmaster uploaded a different website design to see who is paying attention!

 
2005 News

August 27th - Alan Swircenski has officially taken over the duties as webmaster.

July 14th - Our 1st monthly meeting at the BP Energy Center.

July 21st - ACS-PCUG Board of Directors election.

Please welcome Jim Gribbin (President), Mark Gervickas (Vice President), and Lyle Austin (Treasurer) as the latest members to be elected as the ACS Board of Directors and congratulations to Howard Bonar who was re-elected as Secretary.

 
2002 News

September 19th - Please welcome Fielder George Dowding, PC News' Newsletter Editor and Publisher, as the latest member to join the ACS Board of Directors.

May 7th - Officer elections are to be held at the next board meeting on 2002-05-16. Any member interested in a board position should plan on attending the meeting at the AARP office in the Northway Mall.

January 17th - Please welcome Fielder George Dowding as our new online 'PC News' Newsletter Editor and Publisher.

 
2001 News

September 20th - ACS-PCUG member Robert Crager will be representing our group once again at Comdex Fall in Las Vegas November 12-16.

We are still looking for someone to edit and publish our 'PC News' online newsletter.

June 17th - The Message Board has been discontinued due to lack of use.

May 17th - We are switching over from a printed newsletter to a new e-newsletter and are currently looking for someone to take over the editing duties of this new venture. We are also soliciting ideas for how the newsletter should look so press that feedback button on the left side of the page and send us your comments!

Officer elections were held this month during the regular board meeting. All previous officers retained their posts.

February 17th - A new Meeting forum has been added to the Message Board to solicit feedback concerning our monthly meetings. A news feed has also been added to the message board.

 
2000 News

September 21st - Please welcome Brenda Oakley, Managing Editor of the ACS-PCUG newsletter, 'PC News', as the latest ACS board member.

And ACS member Elaine Hulse will be helping out with a project or two including upgrading our media notification processes.

May 18th - Officer elections were held this month during the regular board meeting. All officers retained their posts and Mike Jacquot was elected to fill the vacant seat of Vice-President.

March 10th - See our new Community Services page and some of the projects ACS has been involved with. A first level Community menu item has been created for this new page. The Contact page can now be accessed from the About page.

March 2nd - Our site is now part of the International Computer User Group WebRing. See our new WebRing page.

February 21st - Our domain name has been activated and our site has moved to www.ACS-PCUG.org

February 16th - Please welcome Brenda Oakley as the latest to try her hand at the formidable task of Editor of our newsletter, PC News.

February 11th - We are finally registering our own domain name and Internet Alaska will continue to host our site. Internet Alaska has been gracious enough to award us with six months of free web hosting using their Business Access service.

January 20th - Please welcome Mike Jacquot, Web Editor, as the latest ACS board member.

Many thanks to Lynette Vig for her tireless efforts as the previous Newsletter Editor of the PC News and previous Web Site Editor!
