Katheryn Bradley, Attorney, provided an overview of the legal issues arising from technology use in the workplace, including sexual harassment, employee privacy and free speech rights, and criminal laws on various issues.

ACS Meeting - May 11, 2000 - Genealogical research on the Net
Rick Ender, retired UAA computer information systems instructor, showed us the best Net sources for conducting genealogical research and how to use those sites.

ACS Meeting - June 8, 2000 - Digital Subscriber Line Services
Jim Henry of Alaska Communications Systems surveyed the variety of DSL services available or forthcoming in Anchorage and the new “Pipe” DSL service from ACS.

ACS Meeting - July 13, 2000 - Computer Animation
The professional animation firm, Technoids of Anchorage, showed us animation and software packages they use as well as some of the readily affordable software that non-professionals may want to try for 3D and animation. They also demo-ed 3D modeling, animation, and rendering and compositing techniques for integrating the animations with video.

ACS Meeting - August 10, 2000 - Securing Electronic Commerce
Bill Poletti gave an excellent presentation and filled us in on how to securely purchase items and services via the internet, exchanging secure e-mail, internet firewalls, encryption schemes, etc.
